Did you know that one out of every four bites of food people take is due to the efforts of bee pollination?

According to the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations, bees and other pollinators are responsible for pollinating approximately 75% of the fruit, nuts, and vegetables grown in the world.

Bees have been and continue to be very important.

They have also helped lead to the invention of Bee’s Wrap, a versatile and durable solution for sustainable food storage.

So, what is Bee’s Wrap?

Bees Wrap is made from a combination of organic cotton, sustainably harvested beeswax, organic jojoba oil, and tree resin.

These natural ingredients create a flexible and self-adhesive wrap that can be used to cover food containers, wrap sandwiches, cheese, fruits, vegetables, and much more.

This also means that the wrap is biodegradable and compostable and can be reused.

Bee's Wrap Uses

Reusable

One of the key advantages of Bees Wrap is its reusability.

Unlike plastic wrap, which is typically used once and then discarded, Bees Wrap can be used over and over again.

Simply wash the wrap with cool water and mild soap, let it air dry, and it's ready to be used again.

On average, a single sheet of Bees Wrap can last for up to a year with proper care, making it a cost-effective and sustainable choice for eco-conscious individuals.

How Bee’s Wrap Works

Bee’s Wrap can be used as a sustainable food storage solution, limiting the need for single-use plastics in the kitchen.

The concept behind Bees Wrap is simple yet effective.

When warmed by the heat of your hands, the wrap becomes pliable and easily molds to the shape of the food or container you want to cover.

This natural adhesive quality allows the wrap to stick to itself, forming a tight seal and keeping your food fresh.

You can easily store food by wrapping Bees Wrap around foods or over a bowl or dish.

Practical Uses for Bee’s Wrap Versatility

One practical use of Bee’s Wrap is as a lid for containers.

Its malleability allows it to conform to various shapes and sizes, making it a versatile option for covering bowls, jars, and cups.

By using Bee’s Wrap as a lid, you can eliminate the need for plastic or aluminum foil

Furthermore, Bee’s Wrap can be molded into pouches or bags, making it an excellent choice for storing sandwiches, snacks, or even toiletries when traveling.

Another practical use of bees wrap is to wrap and preserve fresh produce.

Its breathable yet protective nature helps maintain the freshness of fruits and vegetables, preventing them from drying out or spoiling quickly.

Care and Maintenance Tips for your Bee’s Wrap

It is essential to wash your Bee’s Wrap properly.

Use cold water and mild soap to gently clean the wrap after each use.

Avoid using hot water as it can melt the beeswax coating. After washing, hang or lay the wrap flat to air dry.

Avoid using any harsh scrubbers or abrasive cleaning agents that may damage the beeswax coating.

If the wrap becomes stained, you can soak it in a mixture of cold water and baking soda for a few minutes before washing to help remove the stain.

When not in use, roll or fold the wrap and keep it in a cool and dry place away from direct sunlight.

Additionally, it is recommended not to use Bee’s Wrap for wrapping raw meat or hot food as it can damage the wrap and affect its lifespan.

By following these care and maintenance tips, you can ensure that your Bees Wrap stays in excellent condition and continues to be a sustainable and effective option for food storage and preservation.

Bees Wrap Design

Inspiring Story

Bee’s Wrap was founded by Sarah Kaeck, a mother of three and an avid gardener.

The idea for the wrap started as a question of “how to eliminate plastic in our kitchens in favor of a healthier, more sustainable way to store our food.”

From this question, the Bee’s wrap solution was born.  In the early days of the business, the wraps were hand-painted in Sarah’s home.

Since the foundation of Bee’s Wrap in 2012, the company has continued to grow and now has a custom machine to coat its organic fabrics.

Giving Back

Bee’s Wrap is committed to making a meaningful difference for the bee populations and ending plastic pollution.

The company has partnered with The Bee Cause Project, an organization that places observation hives in schools nationwide.

Bee’s Wrap has also partnered with 1% for the Planet and 5 Gyres (Research expedition program that studies global plastic pollution)
